BEHIND THE PENCIL

 

The art of drawing with pencil has been a major part of my life for over 40 years. Drawing in the style of realism was what I loved to do, to recreate LIFE as we see and know it with just a simple pencil is exciting to say the least. Working on a drawing for many hours was so relaxing that I had a hard time putting my pencil down to take a brake..

 

In 1998 I began taking commissions from people across the USA and all over the world. My artwork was used in advertisement, books, magazines and on products. I have been featured on many internet sites, Ovation TV, The Japan show "Unbelievable", and in a local art gallery and art shows. 

 

In 2010 I began teaching drawing lessons online. I've had the great pleasure to instruct 100's of students from all over the world. Visit the "Drawing Lessons" page to view my students before and after drawings and see how they have progressed.

In 2017 I retired from commission work. In 2022 and 23 I have drawn a few personal pieces...and perhaps I may do more over time.
